Alexandria is London based artist living and working in London. Her work mainly focuses on the female form using impulsive and simplified mark-making. Alexa’s style plays with the notion of naked vs. nudity, her work is often described as provocative but still remains an element of playfulness with the fluidity of her line work.
“Playing with the ideas of womanhood and finding that element of play within the stereotype is critical. An unclothed body is a body without social norms and boundaries. When we strip it all bare, and all our walls are exposed – what is left, what lingers.”
Alexandria has previously featured in both Elle and Elle Decoration.
