Mindful Chef, industry leader in healthy and sustainable home delivery meal kits, changed gears during covid times, forcing a requirement for a new home that suited their rapid expansion.

Motive worked alongside the interior design team as well as MC’s brand strategists in ensuring that their identity was captured in a series of installations throughout their office space.

Fiercely proud of their B Corp status, values and culture, Mindful Chef couldn’t partner with just anyone, their collaborators had to understand the mission and message intrinsically. Motive enabled their new space to be adorned with depth and purpose, guiding each and every visitor to truly feel their story as they moved through the space.

Entering the space you are immediately greeted from floor to ceiling with Mindful Chef’s newly aubergine-coloured delivery box; the very item that greets each customer each week that starts the sensual unboxing process. The Mindful Chef logo is seen routed out of the boxes and back lit for maximum brand impact.

Adjacent to the box wall is a fully functioning vertical farm, continuing the multi-sensory experience, and enabling MC to harvest their own herbs on site. Motive worked alongside Square Mile Farms in ensuring the farm was designed especially for MC’s requirements both functionally and aesthetically.

Working your way through to the breakout space, you’re initially greeted with a history wall, done in a manner that’s befitting of a gallery, being both interchangeable and treating each milestone with the respect it deserves. In the breakout space itself above the breakfast bar sits the Mindful Chef logo, repurposing delivery boxes again, layering each one up to form each letter.

Back towards the open plan workstations is a wall that each employee is empowered to add whatever they chose to via tab grabbers (those things seen in a restaurant kitchen where service staff deliver and display orders for the chef).

Plaques throughout the space highlighting materials, sourcing and companies worked with that embrace Mindful Chef’s ethos complete the journey that is uniquely theirs.
